Reflection: Peer Feedback on Characterisation, Plot, and Literary Devices

In this lesson, we learnt how examiners pay attention to characterisation, plot and literary devices when marking your essays.

Comment on the following:
  • How will this knowledge (about how examiners mark your essay) improve your future essays?
  • In what way(s) was the feedback from your peers useful / not useful?

  2. Since we are now aware of what we usually do wrong, we can focus in those areas and try to minimize them. We could also add more intriguing words to spice up our essay.

  3. With the information,we can take note of what the examiner pay attention and also add them in our essay e.g. vocab words.We can also try to minimise mistakes that examiners pat attention to.
    My peers gave me advice on how to change my sentence structures,which i think was useful,because this applys in every essay i write.

  6. I will know where my mistakes lie and how I should improve on it. I will also try to use more vocabulary phrases and words in my writing and I would pay more attention to the grammer and tenses, to prevent mistakes.
    The advice given by my peers is useful and tells me what I should improve on and pay more attention, to get better results and a better level for vocabulary and language.
